Live performances from Miami and Brooklyn highlight Dick Clark’s New Years Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest starting at 8pm ET/PT on ABC

HOLLYWOOD, CA (Gosh!TV) 2013/12/28 – “We just locked Pitbull for New Year’s Rockin’ Eve,” says ABC New Year’s Rockin’ Eve host Ryan Seacrest., “plus Miley Cyrus, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, Robin Thicke and more.”

Pitbull will appear in a live performance from the American Airlines Arena in Miami, Florida. Billy Joel will have a live performance in concert at Brooklyn’s Barclay Center. Ryan Seacrest will lead the traditional countdown to midnight from Times Square in New York City. Jenny McCarthy (The View) will join him throughout the broadcast, live from Times Square.

Fergie returns as host of the West Coast party. “As the New Year’s Rockin’ Eve legacy continues, it is an honor to be a part of the largest celebration of the year,” says Fergie. “I am excited to share the stage with so many global stars.”

The New Year’s Eve celebration broadcast starts at 8pm ET/PT. There’s a two-hour show 30 Greatest Women in Music, the live broadcast from New York City from 10pm to 11pm. After a half-hour break, performances continue from 11:30pm to 2am. Performers include Blondie, Capital Cities, Miley Cyrus, Daughtry, Jason Derulo, Fall Out Boy, Florida Georgia Line, Ariana Grande, Jennifer Hudson, Icona Pop, Enrique Iglesias, Billy Joel, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Robin Thicke and The Fray.

New Year’s Rockin’ Eve Presents The 30 Greatest Women In Music: Ryan Seacrest, Jenny McCarthy and Fergie host a fascinating two-hour countdown of the 30 greatest female artists in music, through clips and interviews from the archives of dick clark productions. (8:00-10:00 p.m., ET)

Dick Clark’s Primetime New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2014: Ryan Seacrest spotlights some of the year’s hottest artists, groups and songs. Fergie hosts the Los Angeles party, and Jenny McCarthy is live with all the festivities in Times Square. (10:00-11:00 p.m., ET)

Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2014, Parts 1 & 2: Ryan Seacrest counts down to midnight live from Times Square, and then the party continues with some of the year’s hottest acts from Los Angeles and New York. With the passing of Dick Clark (November 30, 1929 – April 18, 2012) there was a great deal of interest last year to see how Ryan Seacrest would continue Clark’s tradition as host. Seacrest did well. The 2013 broadcast of the 11:30pm to 1am show posted its highest ratings in 11 years, with 22.2 million total viewers. For ABC, only the Academy Awards did more.

“With Miley Cyrus at 11:40 pm and Billy Joel at 12:05 am it should be a great great night,” executive producer Barry Adelman told Billboard.“We have become an American tradition.” The show began in 1972 aboard the Queen Mary in Long Beach, California, with Three Dog Night performing.
