Underground rock band with huge following comes to CBS Interactive, releases new album

HOLLYWOOD, CA (Gosh!TV) 2014/6/23 – Phish has received little radio play or mainstream exposure, says Wikipedia, yet has a large dedicated fan audience and has sold over 8 million albums and DVDs in the United States. Described by Rolling Stone as “…a new wave of bands oriented around group improvisation and super-extended grooves,” Phish is known for musical improvisation, extended jams, and blending of musical genres.
CBS Interactive’s award-winning webcast concert series, Live on Letterman, presented by Xperia Lounge, will feature the rock band Phish performing live from the Ed Sullivan Theater in New York City on Tuesday, June 24th at 5p pt/8p et. Phish’s performance takes place the same day as the release of their new album, Fuego.
Based in Vermont, the band’s four members are Trey Anastasio (guitars, lead vocals), Mike Gordon (bass, vocals), Jon Fishman (drums, percussion, vocals), and Page McConnell (keyboards, vocals).
Phish will kick off its 2014 summer tour on July 1st with concert dates throughout the U.S.
