By Gabrielle Pantera

Tron Legacy, Olivia Wilde kicks electrons
HOLLYWOOD, CA (Gosh!TV) 4/19/2011 – “Whenever I see a big epic film where the character has aged from being a young boy to an old man, traditionally there are different actors playing him in those stages,” says Tron star Jeff Bridges. “That’s always a little bump for me as I’m sitting there, when they change from one actor to the next. But now as an actor it’s very gratifying to know that I can play myself or the character that I’m playing at any age, from an infant to an old man. That’s really exciting, especially to be part of this groundbreaking technology.”
The Blu-ray set includes the original Tron and the sequel.
In the original Tron movie, Jeff Bridges gets diced by an experimental laser and sucked into the master computer. To get out he forms alliances with programs developed by his coworkers. He must get back to the outside world to save the company and the world from (more…)

Alice In Wonderland 60th Anniversary Special Edition released on Blu-ray and DVD **** 4 Stars
By Gabrielle Pantera

Disney's Alice in Wonderland a children's hit
HOLLYWOOD, CA (Gosh!TV) 2/18/2011 – “I think the book Alice in Wonderland is popular because it’s completely absurd,” says Disney supervising animator Eric Goldberg. “It doesn’t grab your heartstrings the way Bambi or Pinocchio or Dumbo does, but it’s sure fun.” This is the original Disney Alice more suited to families than the darker version of Alice in Wonderland created by Tim Burton for Disney.
Alice’s Wonderland, 1923, was Walt Disney’s first successful short film, the film that launched his career. Walt tried many times over the years to make a feature-length Alice. An attempt with Ginger Rogers was abandoned but became a record. Walt’s plan to make Alice his first feature was shelved in order to make Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs in 1937. Walt wouldn’t make his Alice feature until 1951.
This 60th Anniversary Special Edition of Walt Disney’s original animated version of (more…)

Interview with Jim Carrey and Colin Firth describes making this classic tale of Christmas greed, but it may be too scary for little ones *** 3 Stars
By Gabrielle Pantera

A Christmas Carol, Disney motion capture of Dickens classic
HOLLYWOOD, CA (Gosh!TV) 12/2/2010 – “The wonderful thing about this digital process is that I can be cast in roles that I would never be cast in,” says A Christmas Carol star Jim Carrey, the voice of Scrooge. “If I have it in my soul to play a character, it doesn’t matter what my face looks like, or my age. I find that really liberating.”
“The process of being scanned before you start acting is quite an extraordinary experience to go through,” says A Christmas Carol star Colin Firth, the voice of Scrooge’s nephew Fred. “You have to put your head in a pink, gummy thing that’s normally used to (more…)

Miley Cyrus struggles in leap from child star to female lead ** 2 stars
By Gabrielle Pantera

Miley Cyrus mad at dad in The Last Song
HOLLYWOOD, CA (Gosh!TV) 10/11/2010 – “I think it’s really important to look for roles that are challenging,” says The Last Song star Miley Cyrus. “This came up at a crazy time. I had a tour. I was working on the show. I thought it might be impossible to fit this in, but it all fell into place. I love music and I love entertaining.”
The role required Cyrus to learn to play the piano, which she says she picked up quickly. “Maybe it was easier because I already play guitar. I learned not just how to play a song but how to play it like a classically trained musician…the way to sit, the way you look when you’re at the piano, the posture, the fingering. The learning experiences are a part of my job I really love.”
The Last Song is Miley Cyrus’ jump from child star to female lead in feature films. The concept is good, but unfortunately it (more…)

Tim Burton left Disney after The Black Cauldron
HOLLYWOOD, CA (Gosh!TV) 10/11/2010 – Tim Burton left Disney soon after his work on the creative art of The Black Cauldron. His dark style didn’t mesh with the trademark style at Disney. The Black Cauldron is a mix of animation styles.

Taren may regret what he wished for when Hen Wen, a pig he’s been caring for, becomes the key to finding the long lost Black Cauldron, a supernatural prison for an ancient king so evil the gods feared him.
