HOLLYWOOD, CA (Gosh!TV) 9/26/2009 – “I used to be a seat filler ten years ago,” says ALMA Awards host Eva Langoria Parker. “I just wanted to go to the ALMAs.” Alma Awards host George Lopez says, “The ALMAs are important because they inspire young talent.” Ugly Betty star America Ferrera, who won the 2007 ALMA Award for Outstanding Actress, says, “As a young girl watching Latinos accept these awards, I decided it was a possibility for me, too.”

The Eleventh annual ALMA Awards were hosted by Eva Longoria Parker and George Lopez at Royce Hall on the UCLA Campus onSeptember 18th. There were live performances by David Archuleta, Nelly Furtado, Sean Kingston, Pitbull and Shakira. Presenters included Benjamin Bratt, Dania Ramirez, Adam Rodriguez and Michelle Rodriguez.
