HOLLYWOOD, CA (Gosh!TV) 10/27/2009 – Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure is the second pixie-dust tale in the new DVD series by Walt Disney Pictures. In the Lost Treasure, Tink Bell leaves Pixie Hollow to search for lost treasure in Neverland. Disney launched the “Disney Fairies” DVD movie series in 2008 with an origin story of the beloved character in the animated adventure Tinker Bell.
In Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure, Tink is entrusted to make the fall scepter to hold the rare moonstone that when the Blue Moon rises its light will pass though and make the precious blue pixie dust that the fairies depend on to survive. Tinker Bell’s new friend Blaze is an adorable and courageous firefly. Together they travel to seek a lost treasure that can save the fairies.
Disney Online has introduced Disney Fairies Pixie Hollow, an online destination at www.PixieHollow.com, where fans can experience the magic of Tinker Bell’s world Pixie Hollow. Create your own personalized fairy and help bring about the change of seasons by making friends, playing games and embarking on quests. So far, more than 16 million fairies have been created on the website.

Tinker Bell fairies, girl power
Disney Fairies: Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure for Nintendo DS from Disney Interactive Studios also releases on October 27th. It follows last year’s release of Disney Fairies: Tinker Bell for Nintendo DS.
Tinker Bell has appeared in many film and television films. It was the 1953 animated Walt Disney picture Peter Pan that defined her a character in her own right. Tinker Bell was created by author J. M. Barrie for his 1904 play and 1911 novel Peter and Wendy. Tinker Bell is the unofficial mascot of The Walt Disney Company, appearing in the company’s animated logo.
Walt Disney Parks and Resorts has created an interactive meet-and-greet with walk-round characters at Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort. Park visitors to meet their favorite fairies Tinker Bell, Fawn, Iridessa, Rosetta, and Silvermist.

Tinker Bell, boy fairies too
Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure is a heart-warming tale that children will enjoy. The CGI is excellent for a D2DVD release. The blooper scenes in the extras are the funniest part. The feature-length CG animated film is a combo-pack that includes the Blu-ray and the DVD versions. Bonus features include animated “scenes you never saw,” a guide to Pixie Hollow, deleted scenes with filmmaker introductions by director Klay Hall and producer Sean Lurie, and Pixie Hollow Comes To Florida about how the filmmakers helped transform Epcot into Pixie Hollow.
Other Combo Packs include Snow White, Hannah Montana The Movie, Race To Witch Mountain, Jonas Brothers, Bedtime Stories, Bolt, Pinocchio, High School Musical 3 and Sleeping Beauty.
