Mary Tyler Moore, she's still funny
HOLLYWOOD, CA (Gosh!TV) 10/20/2009 – The Mary Tyler Moore Show is as iconic today as it was when it first aired in the ‘70s. This groundbreaking series consistently ranked among television’s top-rated programs during its seven-year run. Mary Tyler Moore won 29 Emmy Awards, including three for Outstanding Comedy Series. It won three Golden Globes.
Mary Tyler Moore is the story of Mary Richards who moves to Minneapolis after a bad relationship. She’s got a great job as an associate producer at WJM-TV working in the television newsroom. Her co-workers are funny and sometimes exasperating. Over the years she’s grown to love them. Her neighbors are a big part of her life too. Still hoping for that one real romantic relationship, Mary’s pretty happy with her life and self. She’s gonna make it after all!
Three disc DVD set released by Twenty Century Fox Home Entertainment includes all 24 shows from the fifth season. The three-disc set is presented in full screen 1:33:1 aspect ratio with English mono sound, and English and Spanish subtitles.

The dialog will make you laugh. Excessively vain news anchor Ted (Ted Knight) is as annoying as ever, but the rest of the characters stand the test of time. Ed Asner gives great performances as Mary’s irascible boss, a character so iconic that Asner recently voiced the irascible lead character of the Disney Pixar film Up.
A number of the shows could be on TV today if the right show was available.
